Westfield has today announced that they have leased a self-contained office building near to their £320 million Bradford development.
Westfield will manage the construction of the project from the 17,500 sq ft of office space at Vicar Lane.
Neil Maclure, Development Executive at Westfield said: “This is another step in our preparations to deliver this major project. The building will eventually house our construction team as well as architects, engineers and project managers in one self contained building. With site preparation activity under way, we need more space for our staff working on the shopping centre development.”
Robin Beagley, Director of Lambert Smith Hampton, who acted for the Landlord, Land Securities Trillium, said: “This is great news for the Bradford market, and is one of the biggest office deals for some time. I think this deal underlines Westfield’s commitment to Bradford.”
Westfield has recently announced the signing of six retailers from Arcadia - Topshop, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons, Wallis and Miss Selfridge. The scheme will be anchored by Marks & Spencer and Debenhams.
