Wood Lane (Hammersmith & City)
The new Wood Lane Station, between the existing Shepherd's Bush Market and Latimer Road stations, forms part of the north-west gateway to Westfield London. It is only 250 metres away from the White City Underground station on the Central line.
Wood Lane is the first new station to be built on an existing Underground line for more than 70 years. The modern, state-of-the-art station has four lifts, two to each platform, and is fully accessible between street and platform. It opens up new interchange opportunities and gives access to the new development from central London, the City and St. Pancras International.
Shepherd's Bush (Central)
Shepherd's Bush Station on the Central line is now open after having undergone a major upgrade. This includes a rebuilt and enlarged ticket hall, improvements in ticketing facilities to enable shorter queuing, and additional gates including wide aisle gates.
The 80-year-old escalators have been replaced and the station has been modernised with better security and information systems, improved seating, signing and lighting. It links with the Overground station for access to Clapham Junction, then on to Gatwick Airport and the South.
White City (Central)
White City Station on the Central line is currently being upgraded. Work includes installing new CCTV cameras, information systems and help points, a better PA system and tactile strips on platforms and stairs to help people with visual impairments. Improved lighting will also be installed to help improve customer safety.
Shepherd's Bush Market (Hammersmith & City)
Shepherd's Bush station on the Hammersmith & City line has been renamed Shepherd's Bush Market. This is to give it its own identity distinct from the Central line and Overground stations of the same name. The station is opposite the Shepherd's Bush market.
