The Nutmeg Tree
General Information
It is an open secret that one of the most delightful places in Tunbridge Wells to relax and enjoy coffee, breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea is located in the food court of Royal Victoria Place.
The Nutmeg Tree is styled on a 1930's Tea Room, complete with uniformed waitresses and backed with appropriate music. Weary shoppers can enjoy their coffee break or lunch in one of the thirties-themed rooms; the conservatory, the study, the dining room or the parlour.
Doug and Annette Sparshott took over The Nutmeg Tree in early 2007 and during the last year they have gradually and gently enhanced the Tea Rooms to provide an improved and extended menu yet still maintained the thirties ambience. It is also the quality and freshness of the food, value for money and Annette's commitment to exceptional and friendly service that attracts the customers
Do not be surprised to find that there is a queue at lunchtime but be assured it does not take very long before a member of the ever helpful team will show you to your table and welcome you to The Nutmeg Tree
