The Masterplan comprises a number of mixed-use districts adjacent to the transport hubs of Stratford Regional Station and Stratford International Station. It is being developed over a number of years, with Phase One opening in 2011 ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Overall, there is provision for a 5 million square foot commercial office district, 2.9 million square feet of retail and leisure space, 1.3 million square feet of hotel space, and new homes and community spaces.
