The Burberry boutique in The Village, Westfield London, celebrates 150 years of design heritage and the best of modern catwalk style. The brand is anchored in the integrity of its outerwear, a tradition that began when Thomas Burberry invented gabardine in 1856. The Burberry trench coat has since become an icon of wearability and style; key motifs that reflect Burberry's outerwear, ready-to-wear and accessories collections. The portfolio of signature Burberry design features, including trench coat-inspired 'D' rings and epaulettes, its trademark check, quilting and the Prorsum equestrian knight logo, are seasonally reinterpreted and modernised. Burberry Prorsum catwalk collections provide the design DNA for all lines and indicate the mood, spirit and attitude of the other collections. Detailing from the catwalk collections is used across ready-to-wear and coordinating handbags and small leather goods.
