1. What are Westfield Gift Cards?
Westfield Gift Cards are flexible Gift Products that are available as an alternative to traditional Gift Vouchers. Westfield Gift Cards provide much more flexibility and choice than standard Gift Vouchers as they may be spent at any retailer within the shopping centre that accepts Maestro. Westfield Gift Cards are not in fixed denominations and they may be used many times and at different retailers until the amount loaded onto the card has been exhausted. They also provide better value as you will only be charged by the retailer for the exact amount of the transaction and will not be refused change.
2. How do Westfield Gift Cards work?
Westfield Gift Cards are prepaid MasterCard Maestro cards. They work in exactly the same way as a bank Debit Card. The purchaser of the card may choose any amount from £5 up to £1000 (£10 – £650 online, or upto £1000 with ID) and this value will be loaded onto the Westfield Gift Card (In Centre purchase) at the point of issue. The Westfield Gift Card (Online purchase) value will be loaded onto the Gift Card at the point of issue, but requires activation.

- Choose option 2 and enter the card numbers(s) when prompted. Your card(s) will be activated immediately and you will have 12 months to spend the value on the card before expiry.
The Westfield Gift Card may then be used as many times as desired at as many different retailers as desired until the value of the card has been exhausted. Westfield Gift Cards may only be loaded with value once and may not be topped up with additional funds. Westfield Gift Cards expire 12 months after the date of issue.
3. Where can Westfield Gift Cards be spent?
Westfield Gift Cards may be spent at any Westfield retailer in any Westfield Shopping Centre that accepts Maestro. Retailers simply process Westfield Gift Cards in exactly the same way as any other credit or debit card (no chip & pin – signature required). Detailed instructions and training have been provided to our retailers.
4. Who can use a Westfield Gift Card?
Westfield Gift Cards may be used by anybody regardless of age or status. Westfield Gift Cards are typically used as a gift and therefore the cardholder will not necessarily be the purchaser. The cardholder (not the purchaser) should sign the reverse of the card in the same way as a Debit/Credit Card as this signature will be checked by the retailer when the card is used.
5. Where are Westfield Gift Cards available and what ID is required for different load values?
Westfield Gift Cards are available from Westfield Concierge desks and online. If you are purchasing the Gift Card using cash, identification must be provided in order to comply with Financial Services Regulations.

Load Value: The maximum amount of money that can be loaded onto a Flex-e-vouchers Gift Card is £1000. There is a £10 minimum load deposit for online deposits.
Customer Identification: Individuals that buy Flex-e-vouchers Gift Cards are required to provide proof of identity. This allows Flex-e-vouchers and Westfield to demonstrate that we know whom we are doing business with under the Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines outlined in the following section.
The following is a guideline of the types of proof of identity acceptable to Flex-e-vouchers:

6. How are Westfield Gift Cards presented?
Westfield Gift Cards are available in 5 different designs and presented inside a choice of 10 decorative gift wallet. The packaging also contains a receipt confirming the value of the card, expiry date of the card, passcode (required for customer services), instructions for use and a web address for terms and conditions.
7. Do any charges apply – Issue Fee & Delivery?
There is an issue fee of £2 charged per Westfield Gift Card at the time of issue. During the validity period of 12 months Westfield Gift Cards may be used without any account charges whatsoever. Westfield Gift Cards expire twelve months after the date of issue. At the expiry date an expiry fee is charged to the account in order to reduce the balance of the card to zero. Westfield Gift Cards may not be used after the expiry date.

8. Why are charges applied?
Charges are applied to Westfield Gift Cards as the cards use the banking network in the same way as any other bank Debit or Credit Cards. Using the banking network allows Westfield to provide the many flexible benefits outlined in questions 1 & 2 above. However using the banking network means that there are many parties involved in the product: Westfield, Flex-e-vouchers, the issuing bank and Mastercard. The charges levied to Gift Cards help to cover the costs involved in the scheme.
9. What Customer Services are available?
Balance enquiries are available from Westfield Customer Services Desks. In addition you may also view the balance and a statement of all transactions performed on the Gift Card by logging onto www.flex-e-card.com. Flex-e-vouchers Customer Services on 0844 77 44 277 also provide balance enquiries, statement of recent transactions, confirmation of expiry date and a lost & stolen service along with general support and assistance. When using any Customer Services functions cardholders should have the card number and passcode to hand in order to access account information. Flex-e-vouchers Customer Services are also available to answer any questions that Westfield staff or retailers may have at any time.
10. What do I do if I lose it?

12. Can I use more than one card in one transaction?
Gift Cards can be used to part pay for purchases, it is recommended that if your purchase value is higher than your gift card balance, present your cash or Debit /Credit Card first.
13. Can the card be topped up?
Gift Cards can’t be topped up but can be combined with a new card for a small admin fee.
14. How do I know how much is on the card?
Check your Gift Card balance at Concierge or by telephone (Flex-e-Voucher) 0844 77 44 2 77 or online at www.flex-e-card.com.
15. Can I pay over the phone?

16. Do you accept cheques and/or American Express?
We accept American Express at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City only. We accept cheques but the amount needs to be cleared before issuing the Gift Card.
17. I live abroad; can I pay online and get the Gift Card delivered?
No, we don’t accept foreign Credit / Debit cards for online payment. International online Gift Card sales is a service that Westfield UK would like to introduce in the future.

You can get a full refund (with issuing fee) if applied for within 14 days. You must present the sales receipt.

Royal Mail aim to deliver the next day. There is no compensation and no proof of delivery will be sought by Royal Mail.
- Recorded Delivery (£3.99)
Royal Mail aim to deliver the next day. There is no compensation but a signature will be requested by Royal Mail as proof of delivery.
- Special Delivery (£8.49)
Royal Mail aim to deliver by 1pm the next day. There is compensation of up to £500 and the package will be tracked and a signature requested by Royal Mail as proof of delivery.
- Overnight courier service (£19.99)
Ideal for bulk or business shipping; the package will be delivered next day. There is no compensation but the package is tracked and a signature will be requested by the courier service.

22. For online purchases, can the Gift Card be sent direct to the person I am buying the Gift Card for?
No, you can only have the Gift Card posted to the billing address for security reasons. This policy is in line with most other online delivery policies.
23. What happens if I need a refund on an item and I no longer have the original Gift Card?
The retailer will operate by their own policy and issue a refund on another Credit / Debit or their own Gift Card.
24. Do you have a Christmas Savings Club so I can save up each week?
