Learn all you need to know about the art of green tea in this focused green tea workshop with Sujin Lee, the founder of Tea Repertoire, a certified tea sommelier and tea educator at the U.K. Tea Academy.
You will learn how green tea fundamentally differs from other types of tea and discover different green tea growing regions. With a special focus on the art of Japanese green tea making, you will first taste a variety of Japanese green teas (Gyokuro, Sencha, Hojicha, Genmaicha, Matcha) and learn about their differences in terms of their specific production style, cultivar and brewing method. You'll also learn how to distinguish different grades of Matcha and how to prepare it to fully appreciate.
You will then move on to learn how Chinese and Korean green teas differ from Japanese green teas in terms of their production style and will taste their differences from comparative green tea tasting. During the workshop, you'll also have an opportunity to learn how to pair tea and food in general and taste green tea with some cheese together.
Tickets cost £25 per person.
