Everything you need to know about Boxing Day 2021

Are you planning to hit the Boxing Day sales at Westfield Stratford City? Things will look a little different this year, so we’ve compiled this handy guide to help you navigate Boxing Day and the post-Christmas sales.

Boxing Day is a Sunday

That means that even though it’s Boxing Day and post-Christmas sales will be kicking off, we are still restricted to a 6-hour opening window – as we are every other Sunday. Although our usual Sunday trading hours are 12pm-6pm, on Boxing Day Westfield Stratford City will be open 10am-4pm.

If you’d like to sleep a little longer after a big Christmas Day, Westfield London will be open its usual 12pm-6pm on Boxing Day, while both centres will be open 8am-10pm on the 27 and 28 December Bank Holidays.

West Ham are playing at home on Boxing Day

For the first time since they moved to their new home at London Stadium, West Ham United are playing a home game on Boxing Day. While Westfield Stratford City usually trades as normal on West Ham match days, there are additional measures in place to reduce overcrowding.

As with all West Ham match days, there will be road closures in place for 3 hours before and 2 hours after the match which may make it difficult for you to drive to and from the centre – especially with the reduced Sunday trading hours and restricted access to parking.

Public transport will also be running on the usual Boxing Day schedule with reduced services, so we recommend you plan your journey in advance.

Not all retailers will be open

Due to the shorter Sunday trading hours and West Ham match, some retailers have chosen not to open at Westfield Stratford City on Boxing Day. We have listed all the stores below that have informed us that they won’t be opening, but this list is subject to change until Boxing Day itself:
